How to pick out the best ones? Here are my recommendations for the best places to eat and where to find the most scrumptious dim sum! There are around 80 Chinese restaurants just in Chinatown! Vegetarians and vegans have a bunch to choose from with dishes like their berry acai bowls and Earth tacos (sweet potato, red cabbage and maitake). Dimes – 49 Canal Stĭimes is a popular breakfast and brunch spot renown for its eclectic but healthy dishes. They also have mock meats and in fact, their mock chicken is one of our favorite dishes here. Some of ours favorites include their vegetarian shrimp dumplings, spinach dumplings and fried dumplings. If you are looking for a dim sum restaurant that is vegetarian friendly, Vegetarian Dim Sum House is your best bet! They have dim sum staples like rice rolls, turnip cakes and a bunch of different delicious dumplings. But with $7.50 lunch specials which include a soup or a spring roll, this is our pick for the best vegetarian cheap eats spot in the neighborhood. In fact since their names are so similar and since they are located fairly close to each other, it is often confused with Bodhi Kosher. If you are looking for something a little different, they have sushi too! Buddha Bodai Kosher Vegetarian Restaurant – 5 Mott StĪnother good pick for a Chinese vegetarian restaurant is Buddha Bodai Kosher Vegetarian Restaurant. They have a beautiful dining room and have tasty dishes like their Buddha delight noodles, eggplant in garlic sauce and a yummy turnip cake.
